A Day in the Life of a VM O’Leary HVAC Technician: Keeping Cary Cool

Rise and Shine

My day as a VM O’Leary Sheet Metal & Heating technician starts early. By 7 AM, I’m already reviewing the day’s schedule, which includes a mix of Air Conditioner Service calls, AC repairs, and a new HVAC installation.

Morning Rounds: Cary and Crystal Lake

8:00 AM: I head to my first appointment in Cary, IL. A homeowner is experiencing issues with their air conditioning system. After a thorough inspection, I discover a refrigerant leak. I explain the problem to the customer and proceed with the necessary AC service.

10:30 AM: Next stop is Crystal Lake for an Air Conditioning Installation. The summer heat is picking up, and the family is eager to have their new system up and running. I work efficiently to ensure they’ll be enjoying cool air by afternoon.

Lunch Break in Algonquin

1:00 PM: I take a quick lunch break in Algonquin, reviewing my afternoon schedule and responding to any urgent calls that have come in.

Afternoon: Dundee and Carpentersville

2:00 PM: In Dundee, I perform routine maintenance on a commercial HVAC system. Regular service helps prevent unexpected breakdowns and ensures optimal performance.

4:30 PM: My final stop of the day is in Carpentersville for an Air Conditioner Repair. The unit isn’t cooling properly, and I diagnose a faulty compressor. I explain the repair process to the homeowner and get to work.

Wrapping Up in Lake in the Hills

6:30 PM: As I finish my last job, I receive an emergency call from Lake in the Hills. A family’s AC has completely shut down on one of the hottest days of the year. Despite the late hour, I head over to help.

8:00 PM: With the emergency handled and the family comfortable again, I wrap up my day, feeling satisfied that I’ve helped keep our community cool and comfortable.

Working for VM O’Leary Sheet Metal & Heating is never dull. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our neighbors in Cary, Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Dundee, Carpentersville, and Lake in the Hills stay comfortable year-round.
